We’ve had an amazing start to our ‘Wild Rivers’ classroom day with our lovely visitors Eva and Emma, we have started by identifying our local river and its features using Ordinance Survey Maps. We even located where we will be visiting on our field trip and the beck we will be exploring. 

Then we looked at our local ecosystems, we earned about river wildlife and what we may discover on our trip. We used a classification key to identify what freshwater vertebrates or invertebrates we were. Amazing work linking back our knowledge to our Science lessons!
